Day 6 and 7, Hamilton and I have been working on more desensitization, lunging, round penning, joining up, riding with foot pressure and overall trust! Hamilton has a hard time understanding that not all movements mean go faster, he is trying learn the difference between asking him to turn with foot pressure and go. He’s slowly catching on! Hamilton and I worked on leg yielding and he’s catching on with that as well. Throughout working with him, I have noticed he is better one way with everything then the other, which is natural for horses, but we want it to be the same both directions on everything he does, which is something we will work on!
In the video you can see that Hamilton isn’t very appreciative of the dog, but learns to be okay with her! He’s grown so much in the last 7 days! Still a lot to work on but slow improvements are good! Happy with what he’s doing so far!
